SEPTEMBER 2025.
Households with children living in them are currently abuzz with preparations for the new school year. Uniforms and stationery supplies need to be checked, replenished, or purchased for the very first time. How important it is to be ready for the season that lies ahead! Whether or not we have children in our households, are we prepared for the days that lie ahead? Not only do we need to be prepared for any natural challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, but much more, we need to be spiritually prepared. To this end, when last have we taken an inventory of our spiritual health? Is our love for God evidently the greatest love in our life? And is our love for our neighbour equally evident? (Matthew 22:37-39). In the natural, as Autumn rolls in, we become prepared for Winter. In the spiritual, we may not know what lies ahead, but let’s be sure that we are prepared to stand firm in the Lord, no matter what the coming season may bring. As part of your prayerful spiritual preparation this September, why not spend some time considering 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 and Ephesians 6:10-20?
