Who we are
We welcome Pastor Simon Krige and his family into the family at New Life Church. The Krige’s come from South Africa and having ministered in Indonesia and Hawaii as well as South Africa they continue their ministry in Guernsey. Simon, his wife Sarah and their two sons, Kairos (8) and Benaiah (6) are living in the church manse adjacent to the church.
David Battle – Elder
Dave is a 66 year old retired Assistant Headteacher, married to Cathy for 41 years. Cathy is one of the vocalists in the church worship group. They have two married sons and four grandsons and one granddaughter.He has been an elder in this church since 1988 when it was founded where his responsibility was in preaching. As an ex PE teacher, sport has always played a part in his life. He plays golf when time permits.
Stephen Francis – Elder
Stephen is a retired Civil Servant. He has been actively involved in the life of the church since 1988. He has a love of a wide range of music and is one of the church musicians. His married daughter and son in law are part of the worship group. He is also an Independent Christian Funeral Officiant and a Director of a not for profit Care Home and Dementia Unit. He enjoys walking and gardening.
Tim Langlois – Deacon
Tim’s responsibilities are as Treasurer and Administrator. Happily married to Sarah (musician within the church) and proud father of two adult children. Outside of work in the Civil Service and church responsibilities Tim enjoys walking the Island’s delightful cliff paths, gardening and supporting Guernsey FC the Island’s football team.
Mark Seabrook – Deacon
Mark is 65 years old and has worked in the horticultural industry all of his life. He has been married to Sue for 39 years who is a member of the worship team. He has two adult children and three lovely grandchildren. His church responsibilities are maintenance Deacon for the properties, also oversees the PA sound system. When time permits he loves to go fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
